PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability in content retrieval without annoying a user in an area of a language having the order of arranging characters different from a code scheme used for describing additional information. SOLUTION: The content storage device for storing a set of a content and a character string data describing the additional information of the content in a 1st code scheme, is provided with: a specifying means to specify a display order when listing the additional information on a display device according to a data value obtained by processing the character string data by conversion in accordance with a specified rule (a rule for converting a character code assigned to each character in the 1st code scheme into a character code assigned to the character in the second code scheme different in the order of arranging characters from the 1st code scheme); and a display control means to display each additional information in a list in a display order specified by the specifying means.
