The invention relates to the shipbuilding. A method of increase of the tractive force of vessel consists in its equipping, besides propeller, with additional device, which is made in the form of wings, which are located outside the hull of the ship in the vertical planes lower than water line along the streamline and on curvilinear parts of the boards in horizontal plane, attaching the mentioned wings to the boards at a distance from them and between themselves. Technical result: occurrence of additional carrying capacity acting on the wings of the vessel, which form an extra force of the tractive force of vessel.
