A coreless seal (11) assembled in a shell-type roller bearing has an elastic annular member (12). The outer diameter B of the coreless seal (11) is a dimension obtained by adding tolerance 2A for interference to the inner diameter C of a shell-type outer ring, where the tolerance 2A includes the amount of thermal contraction. In low temperature, the annular member (12) contracts in the direction of arrow W, so that the outer diameter of the coreless seal (11) is reduced from B to B'. However, since the outer diameter B includes tolerance A for interference and the amount of thermal contraction is taken into account in the tolerance, the coreless shell (11) has a tolerance A' in the outer diameter B' even after contraction.
