A wireless channel coexisting system of a WLAN and a WPAN through wireless channel reservation and a method thereof are provided to remove collision caused by different communication methods, effectively improve data processing, and effectively reduce power consumption by reducing the number of times of re-transmission according to wireless channel reservation. A WLAN NIC(Network Interface Card)(340) transmits/receives data to/from the first terminal of a WLAN. An LR(Low Rate)-WPAN NIC(350) periodically transmits/receives data to/from the second terminal of a WPAN. A WLAN AP(Access Point) controller(320) controls the WLAN NIC(340), generates a message based on wireless channel reservation time information, and transfers the generated message to the WLAN NIC(340). An LR-WPAN coordinator(330) controls the LR-WPAN NIC(350) and sets a wireless channel reservation time and a data communication repetition period. An active channel reservation unit(310) controls the WLAN AP controller(320) based on the wireless channel reservation time and data communication repetition period received from the LR-WPAN NIC(350).
