<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and program for analyzing a corneal endothelial cell image by which a merit of automatic analysis of the corneal endothelial cell image can be increased. <P>SOLUTION: The method for analyzing the corneal endothelial cell image imaged using a specular method has: steps A (S1 and S2) of extracting a cell contour in the cell image by a watershed method using an area (area A, hereafter) of an area in a contour surrounded by the cell contour and a maximum density difference (depth D, hereafter) of the cell image in the area in the contour; a step (S4) of dividing the cell image into a possible area composed of the area in the contour having an area not larger than the threshold of an area threshold A (an area threshold A[0], hereafter) and an impossible area composed of the area in the contour having an area larger than the area threshold A[0]; and steps (S5 to S8) for deciding the contour of a virtual cell based on information about the cell contour in the possible area, in the impossible area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
