<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head and an optical disk device, wherein a cover member and a laser light source for releasing heat and protecting the optical head has simple structure, manufacturing efficiency is increased, and variation in accuracy of an optical axis of a laser light caused by assembling of the laser light source is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: A boss 112 formed in the light source installing part 11 of a base 1 is engaged with a boss hole 321 formed in the laser light source supporting part 32 of a cover member 3, and the cover member 3 is positioned in the base 1. A female screw hole 12 formed in the bottom surface of the base 1 is overlapped with a screw hole 311 formed in the cover part 31 of the cover member 3.
