<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data frame processor and a method capable of easing congestion while reducing effect on other external transmission ports without accompanied complex processing, when transmission congestion occurs at some of external transmission ports. <P>SOLUTION: A transmit data frame generator 105 attaches priority to data frame from an internal transmission port 11 or external transmission ports 12 and 13, and transmits it to a destination transmission port. When congestion occurs at a transmit data frame addressed to the external transmission ports 12 and 13, a congestion notification data frame generator 107 generates a congestion notification data frame comprising an identification information for the external transmission port, and transmits it from the internal transmission port. Upon receipt of the congestion notification data frame from other data frame processors, a congestion notification data frame analysis 103 lowers priority given to a transmit data frame addressed to an external transmission port, which is shown by the identification information contained in the congestion notification data frame. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
