PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid droplet discharge head capable of certainly defoaming a liquid, for example, even when the liquid of every kind is handled, and a liquid droplet discharge apparatus equipped with the liquid droplet discharge head and capable of discharging liquid droplets with high precision. SOLUTION: The liquid droplet discharge head 1 is equipped with a fluid channel substrate 2 having a plurality of flow channels 201 formed thereto, the head chip 4 fixed to the flow channel substrate 2 and equipped with a plurality of the pressure chambers to communicate with the respective flow channels 201 to discharge the liquid supplied to the respective pressure chambers as liquid droplets and a liquid housing part 3 equipped with a plurality of housing spaces 31 for housing the liquid and provided at a first position not permitting the communication with the respective flow channels corresponding to the respective housing spaces 31 and a second position permitting the communication with the respective flow channels 201 so as to be displaceable with the flow channel substrate 2.
