PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: although it is desirable to record user information to which more correct authentication has been performed by a user authentication server, rather than simple authentication according to a section number or the like held by an image processor main body because it is required to record correctly who has operated an image in a job archive system, the availability of an apparatus has been degraded considerably if all functions are prohibited when the authentication server cannot be connected. SOLUTION: When the authentication server cannot be connected, the availability is ensured after the simple authentication according to the user information within the apparatus is performed and functional restriction is made so that only functions with little danger in terms of security are available. Thus, the minimum use of the apparatus alone is provided and, at the same time, the user information is left in the job archive while reducing the danger in terms of security.
