PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone exchange system capable of easily adding or erasing a main device relative to a network. SOLUTION: A telephone exchange main device 10 is connected to the network so as to be connected to other telephone exchange main devices 20, 30 by peer-to-peer. Telephone directory data held by each main device are managed by distribution through the use of a DHT (a distribution hash table) 16 and a DHT control program 18.
