PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio network system capable of generation of a so-called exposed terminal problem in which when it is determined that a radio channel is used, transmission of its station is restricted. SOLUTION: The system has a first terminal 301 for transmitting a request-to-send signal (RTS signal) including information about a medium use period (NAV period) to a second terminal 302 before data transmission, receiving a clear-to-send signal (CTS signal) from the second terminal 302, and transmitting data to the second terminal 302 during the medium use period; the second terminal 302 for receiving the request-to-sent signal and transmitting the clear-to-send signal; a third terminal 312 for receiving the request-to-send signal and transmitting the data to a fourth terminal during the medium use period; and the fourth terminal 304.
