PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer belt to which a toner image is easily transferred, from which the temporarily transferred toner image is easily transferred to an image recording medium and which is extremely excellent in transferability what kind of temperature and humidity environmental condition it is, and to provide an image forming method and an image forming apparatus using the intermediate transfer belt. SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer belt used for an electrophotographic device is equipped with a base material layer formed of polyimide resin and at least one resin layer formed on the base material layer. The resin layer constituting the outermost layer of the intermediate transfer belt is composed of silicone resin having structural unit expressed by general formulas (1) and (2) (R<SB>1</SB>shows an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkenyl group or an aralkyl group, wherein the number of carbon atoms is 1 to 10 respectively).
