摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility of an electrophoresis display device since the electrophoresis display device provides view by reflection of external light by particles for the electrophoresis display device and then lightness of the display device possibly becomes insufficient when external light is small in quantity. SOLUTION: An anionic polymerizable surfactant 106 is adsorbed to a surface 105 of a pigment 105 and a cationic polymerizable surfactant 107 is added for ionic bonding of ionic groups of the both to generate an ion pair. Further, a hydrophobic monomer 108 and a fluorescent material 109 are added and then an anionic polymerizable surfactant 110 is added to form a micelle. Then the hydrophobic monomer 108 is polymerized to form a polymer layer 102 containing the fluorescent substance 109, thus obtaining the particles for the electrophoresis display device.
