PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a transfer fixing device, that obtains a high quality image by providing at least an intermediate transfer member, chosen between the intermediate transfer member and a transfer fixing body, with a heat circulation means (heat circulation device), thereby relieving the temperature rise of the intermediate transfer member, and that greatly saves energy without using power in order to relieve the temperature increase of the intermediate transfer member. SOLUTION: The heat circulation device 36 is configured such that the rear surfaces of the upstream and downstream portions A and B of an intermediate transfer belt 2 are brought into contact with the odd number of roller-like rotation bodies, namely heat conductive rollers 28a, 28b and 28c which are rotatable and have high heat conductivity, and are connected in contact with each other.
