PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear axle having a strengthened anti-roll rigidity regardless of the restriction concerning the installing place of an anti-roll bar or of the limitation in terms of the strength and dimensions. SOLUTION: The rear axle of an automobile has a cross-beam 1 supporting rigid arms at the ends and the anti-roll bar. Further the rear axle has an additional anti-roll bar 4 including a straight portion 4a extending parallel with the cross-beam 1, in which the ends of the straight portion 4a are coupled with folded parts 4b perpendicularly intersecting the straight portion approximately, and the free end of each folded part 4b is coupled with one of the rigid arms 2, while the ends of the straight portion 4a are further coupled with one of the rigid arms 2 through a link rod 5, and that end part of the link rod 5 located opposite the additional anti-roll bar 4 is coupled with the rigid arm 2 rotatably.
