Automated device (100,100') has a first program assigned to the microcontroller for conversion of data bit stream, which is to be send, in a series of sampling values of an adequate frequency modulated line signal and is stored in a memory unit. A second program assigned to the microcontroller for the recognition of a frequency-modulated line signal and for its sequential conversion in a received data bit stream and is stored in the memory unit. The first and the second program can be executed alternately.
