BACMID VARIANT, METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME AND METHOD OF PRODUCING TARGET PROTEIN BY USING THE SAME

A bacmid variant which is capable of infecting both an insect cell line (Sf9 or Tn5) and silkworm, allows smooth expression of a target protein and thus makes it possible to efficiently produce the target protein. An insect cell is infected with a bacmid variant, which carries miniF replicon, a host range expanded sequence that is the HindIII-SacI fragment of the DNA helicase gene sequence having asparagine as the amino acid at the 152-position, preferably AcNPV DNA having the sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1 and more preferably cysteine protease gene lacking at least a part thereof, and a transposon attachment site, and thus a virus is produced in a large amount. Then, the thus obtained virus is inoculated into a silkworm as such.
