METHOD FOR INTRAOPERATIVE ASSESSMENT OF COMPETENCE OF SUTURES IN INTERINTESTINAL ANASTOMOSES

The method for the intraoperative assessment of the competence of the sutures in the interintestinal anastomoses provides for administration onto the probe of 50 mL of 1% aqueous solution of methylene blue after nasogastral intubation. The pressure is increased mechanically. The appearance of the blue liquid at the anastomosis site indicated the failure of the intestinal sutures.
