The table has a top (3) which is mounted on sliding rails (11a, 11b). When this is drawn back a pair of leaves (41, 42) mounted below it can be swiveled to increase the size of the table. One of the leaves is fitted with a pin (62) which slides in a curved slot (61) in a cross-bar (12d) to guide them during swiveling.
