OPTICAL SWITCH APPARATUS, OPTICAL ACCESS NETWORK, SYSTEM THEREFOR, AND OPTICAL WAVELENGTH MULTIPLEXING TRANSMISSION METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously realize unicast communication and broadcast or multicast communication on an optical access network.

SOLUTION: A center device 21 uses light λ1 and λ2 of different two wavelengths for a unitcast signal and a broadcast or multicast signal and transmits the signals to an optical switch device 31 with wavelength division multiplexing. The optical switch device 31 demultiplexes the wavelength division multiplexed optical signal, the optical signal of λ1 for unicast is made into 1-to-1 connection by optical switching, and the optical signal of λ2 for broadcast or multicast is transmitted to all destinations or any arbitrary multiple destinations by an optical signal branching means.
