<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily inspect the robustness of an optical disk drive against the influence of a data recording state in other recording layers. <P>SOLUTION: For the optical disk for an inspection, two recording layers, that are, an L0 layer 14 and an L1 layer 18 are laminated and formed. The data area of the optical disk for the inspection is divided into three data ranges, that are an inner periphery data range, a middle periphery data range and an outer periphery data range, in a peripheral direction. In one data range, long data L1_L and short data L1_S are recorded in the L1 layer 18 and short data L0_S and long data L0_L are recorded in the L0 layer 14 respectively intermittently. When inspecting the optical disk drive, a laser beam is focused and radiated to positions A, B, D, E, a, b, d and e facing the end part of the data recorded in the other of the respective recording layers and tracking servo is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
