<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber terminal provided with a photo-electric conversion function which can be protected against an adverse effect caused by heat, leakage of adhesive agent, etc, and mounted on a board, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical head plug 20, an optical fiber 11 is inserted into a guide hole 21, whereby the photo-electric conversion element 31 of a photo-electrical conversion element unit 30 provided in the opening 21a of the guide hole 21 is connected to an optical fiber 11. A plug-side electrical wiring unit 25 connected to a bump contact unit 32 serving as the electrode terminal of the photo-electric conversion element 31 is provided on the external surface 22 of the optical head plug 20, so that the electrode terminal is connected to the receiver-side electric wiring unit 41 through the intermediary of the plug-side electric wiring unit 25 by fitting the optical head plug 20 into a receiver 40 mounted on the board 42. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
