<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming apparatus capable of avoiding such a trouble that a pattern for detecting the density of a non-image part is printed on the trailing end of a recording paper, regarding technology of forming the pattern for detecting the density of the non-image part in the non-image part. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a control means for detecting whether the trailing end of the recording paper passes through the density detecting pattern forming position, and stopping the density detecting pattern forming operation when the trailing end does not pass yet, and when the trailing end already passes, controlling so as to form the density detecting pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
