<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment information registration apparatus which registers equipment information in a PON transmission line and registers position information based on measurement data in the equipment information by facilitating identification of a handling relation to measurement data obtained by a test apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A connection 11 of a controller 10 in the equipment information registration apparatus 20 receives information of a correlation between the light intensity of a return beam from a measurement apparatus 30 and a distance. A waveform display device 15a displays a waveform based on the received light intensity and distance on a screen of a display unit 21. An input 13 receives an operation of a user, and inputs coordinate information designated with an area on the screen. Frame display device 15b displays a frame in an area based on input coordinate information. A detector 16 detects a summit of a waveform from the waveforms included in the display frame and outputs the light intensity and distance corresponding to the summit.
