<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal, a topology management apparatus, a position management apparatus, and a communication method, which disperses loads accompanying root calculation among mobile terminals constituting a mobile communication system to the mobile terminal and a control unit appropriately and preventing the loads from concentrating on a specific apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile communication system 1 comprises a plurality of cluster heads 10a, a cluster member 10b, the topology management apparatus 20, and the position management apparatus 30. The cluster heads 10a exchange routing information only with cluster members of a cluster to which its own terminal belongs and cluster heads of other clusters adjacent to the cluster to which its own terminal belongs. The cluster member 10b exchanges the routing information only with the cluster heads of the cluster to which its own terminal belongs.
