<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a device, which sets secret information to an information processing device, to refer to the secret information and prohibit other devices from referring to the secret information to prevent the secret information from being leaked through other devices. <P>SOLUTION: In an extension card, secret information is taken out from a secret information setting request received from an mounted device and stored in secret information 627, and a device ID is taken out from the secret information setting request and stored in a device ID 628. A device ID in a secret information reference request received from the mounted device is stored in a volatile area. Then, a secret information reference response indicating that the secret information stored in the secret information 627 is permitted to refer to or not to refer to is sent back to the mounted device in accordance with agreement/disagreement of the device IDs each stored in the device ID 628 and in the volatile area, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
