<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a semitransmission type liquid crystal display wherein influence of flowing characteristics on the inner part of a display region is eliminated and film thickness is uniform in a color filter having a step by a base layer. <P>SOLUTION: In the color filter wherein a light shielding layer having a plurality of aperture parts in a display region and a light shielding layer enclosing the display region in the region except the display region are formed on a substrate, pixels of a plurality of colors having transmission regions and reflection regions where color layers are formed at the aperture parts are formed in the display region and the base layer is formed between the substrate and the color layer for the pixel of at least one color, a region where the base layer is not formed is provided on the light shielding layer in the region except the display region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
