PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime-prevention apparatus capable of preventing an action of breaking into a house and easily installed in a wide-range break-in passage such as a window, a door or a gate. SOLUTION: This crime-prevention apparatus includes a break-in blocking member transversally provided to intercept the break-in passage into the house, a break-in detecting mechanism detecting displacement of the break-in blocking member and outputting a break-in signal, a buzzer driving circuit receiving the input of the break-in signal and actuating a security alarm, a remote-control unit selectively transmitting a signal for making the security alarm drivable and a signal for making it immobile, a remote-control unit receiving part for receiving the signal from the remote-control unit, and a power supply device. The break-in detecting mechanism, the security alarm, the buzzer driving circuit, the remote-control unit receiving part, and the power supply device are incorporated into a same casing.
