PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel including a blurring correcting lens for correcting image blurring, which can be made compact in a collapsed state, and also, which comprises a small number of components. SOLUTION: Regarding the lens barrel 1 where at least a part of a photographing optical system can be moved so that the whole length of the photographing optical system along the optical axis direction in the collapsed state may become shorter than that in a photographing allowable state, in such a situation that a VR group lens chamber 3 lies in a movable range controlled by a cylindrical outer peripheral surface 31 and a cylindrical inner peripheral surface 21, the movable extent of the insertion part 32 is within an opening part 401, and also, made more narrow than the opening range of the opening part 401, viewing from the optical axis direction.
