PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pencil lead having an improved fixation on paper. SOLUTION: The pencil lead contains, as impregnation components, at least a mixture composed of one kind or two or more kinds selected from at least a polybutene, ethylene-propylene-butene copolymer, amorphous polypropylene, ethylene-polar monomer copolymer, polyethylene, polyisobutylene and amorphous polyα-olefin in the pores of the fired lead body and a metal soap.
