PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill handling device capable of widening a rightward and leftward width of a bill stock part, reducing a frequency of recovering bills, and coping with miniaturization. SOLUTION: This bill handling device 1 is arranged between multiple game machines arranged side by side. The device comprises a bill insertion port 3 provided at a front top and inserting a bill A in a manner that its width direction is approximately perpendicular, a transporting mechanism 10 transporting the bill B inserted in the bill insertion port 3 inside at an identical posture, a bill identification part 4 provided near the bill insertion hole 3 and identifying the bill A transported by the transporting mechanism 10, a transporting direction changing part 5 provided on an inner depth side of the bill identification part 4 and once stopping the bill A transported from the transporting mechanism 10, a bill stock part 6 provided on the bottom side of the transporting direction changing part 5 and stocking the bill A in a manner that the width direction of the bill A is approximately vertical, and a storage mechanism 20 storing the bill A at the transporting direction changing part 5 in the bill stock part 6.
