PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which can retain a sufficient sterilization effect for a long time and can visibly recognize the remaining quantity of a sterilizer easily. SOLUTION: The washing water inside a tank 18 is circulated by a circulation pump 31 through a circulation route 21. Then silver ions with sterilizability elute into the water by the water coming into contact with the sterilizer inside a filter unit 30. The dissolved silver ions enter together with the washing water into the tank 18.
