A display unit and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce power consumption in a full color display unit by using a resonant structure and leveling out a driving voltage. A display unit(1) includes a plurality of organic electroluminescence devices(5r,5g,5b). An organic layer(9) includes a positive hole-transfer layer(9-2) and a light emitting layer(9-3). The organic layer(9) is inserted into two electrodes. Light emitting layers(9-3r,9-3g,9-3b) of the organic electroluminescence devices(5r,5g,5b) have different thicknesses. Each light emitting layer(9-3r,9-3g,9-3b) of the organic electroluminescence device(5r,5g,5b) includes an organic material having the same HOMO(Highest Occupied Molecular Orbital) level with a hole-transfer material which constitutes the hole-transfer layer(9-2). An organic material content is set to increase with the thickness of the light emitting layer(9-3r,9-3g,9-3b). |
