The invention relates to refractory industry in particular to the method for manufacture of alumina ceramic. In accordance with the invention the alumina-containing element is maintained in water solution for 2 days till formation of pH 3-4.5, a suspension made of alumina-and zirconium-containing components is prepared, the suspension is filtered through sieve forming a product by slip casting method into gypsum moulds with burning out products in the oxidizing or neutral medium. The invention allows to obtain ceramics with increased strength characteristics and heat endurance.
