PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus in which an evaluation value can be added automatically to contents stored in an apparatus.

SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus 10 comprises an acquisition section 136 which acquires reproduction history information of contents data in a portable reproducing apparatus 20 from the portable reproducing apparatus 20 which can reproduce contents data, an evaluation value arithmetic operation section 142 arithmetically operating a computed evaluation value corresponding to the contents data based on the reproduction history information acquired by the acquisition section 136, and a transfer section 154 transferring the computed evaluation value arithmetically operated by the evaluation value arithmetic operation section 142 to the portable reproduction apparatus 20. By such constitution, the information processing apparatus 10 can arithmetically operate the computed evaluation value of the contents data automatically based on the reproduction history information of the portable reproducing apparatus 20 to be added to the contents stored in the portable reproducing apparatus 20.
