PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To previously avoid damage to a crawler belt caused by strong pressing and rapid folding/bending by the pressing by suppressing a lateral end of the crawler belt from being strongly pressed to an acute peripheral edge at a lateral end of an outer rolling wheel. SOLUTION: The crawler type traveling device 2 is constituted by a drive sprocket 12 and a tension wheel 13 installed on a track frame 11 directed in a forward/rearward direction; a plurality of outer rolling wheels 14 for ground-contact guide arranged so as to be aligned at a lower part of the track frame 11 in the forward/rearward direction; and the crawler belt 16 wound/arranged in the state surrounding the drive sprocket 12, the tension wheel 13 and the plurality of outer rolling wheels 14.
