There are provided an image processing device and an image judgment method capable of appropriately judging whether an image contains an image of a predetermined object and a program executed in the image processing device. An edge of a captured image is emphasized. According to the value of the pixels contained in the image in which the edge is emphasized, an evaluation value Ev concerning the intensity and/or quantity of the edge contained in the captured image is acquired. According to the acquired evaluation value Ev, it is judged whether the captured image contains an image of the predetermined object FG. Thus, it is possible to accurately judge whether the captured image contains an image of the predetermined object FG. Moreover, according to the evaluation value Ev, it is also possible to judge whether the image of the object FG is suitable for a predetermined use (such as a template image for biometric authentication). |
