The network connection has an authentication device that is connected electromechanically or wit the use of wires to a blocking device inside a wiring box (4). The authentication device determines if correct input data are fed into the wiring box for switching the blocking device in closed or released position. A switch or hub (1) is connected to the wiring box via patch cables (2) and a patch panel (3). The patch cables are connected to distribute the signals from the switch or hub to the patch panel. The patch cables are connected to the socket contacts of the patch panel. The panel has leads connected to the wiring box. The socket contact is provided with a mechanical closure for electromechanically closing or opening the socket openings.
