The multi functional remote controller has a cube shaped form [1] and has function keys [3-9] on the side surfaces. Each surface relates to the functions of a particular piece of equipment, eg television, hi-fi, garage doors. Activation of a specific item is dependent upon a user being detected by a position sensor [2].
