The invention relates to animal husbandry, in particular to methods of cattle rearing. A method of growing meat cattle, which includes using the pastures and feeding with other feeds, consists in that the cattle is year-round kept loosely on enclosed territory and it is provided with all-time and free access to pasture and other feeds. In doing so a cultivated or natural pasture with selected perennial grasses of different terms of maturation terms is used as the run and pasture territory, and it is equipped with self-feeders for concentrated feeds and additional mineral feeding, drinkers, light three-wall sheds, and hay, straw and silage in the amount, depending on the annual need of the herd, is spread at the pasture using the relief of the locality.
