<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fire originated by a heat source for heating a recording paper having had a toner image transferred thereto to fix the toner image, by a simple and inexpensive system in the case that a main body of an image forming apparatus including the heat source is inclined or falls down due to an impact of earthquake or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A limit switch is provided on a main body bottom of the image forming apparatus, and the limit switch is put into a short circuit state (on state) unless the main body bottom rises from an installation face. The limit switch can answer the same purpose as a conventional expensive large-scale configuration though having a simple and inexpensive configuration and being easy to install and being widely spread. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
