<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a longitudinal bag-making packaging machine capable of well performing the origin search of a transverse sealing part, and a weighing and packaging system. <P>SOLUTION: The turning position of a seal jaw is confirmed based on a state of a sensor (S101). When the turning position of the seal jaw is within a prohibition area, a stand is turned in the counter-turning direction so as to be separated from a packaging material (S102). The stand is further turned by a predetermined angle (S104) from the time point that the turning position of the seal jaw 35a is outside the prohibition area (S103). Successively, the turning direction of the stand is inverted, and the stand is turned in the forward direction (S105), and the monitoring of the sensor is performed (S106). When the sensor is transferred from the "OFF" state to the "ON" state, the stand is further turned by the predetermined angle from the transferred position (S107).
