BLOOD PRESSURE MEASURING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood pressure measuring apparatus which enables accurate blood pressure measurement without being affected by ambient light when an optical sensor for blood pressure measurement is embedded in a cuff.

SOLUTION: The blood pressure measuring apparatus is equipped with: a cuff attachment part; a pulse wave detecting means embedded in the cuff; a pressurization and depressurization means for pressurizing and depressurizing the cuff with a fluid containing air; a pipe arrangement 4 connected between the cuff and the pressurization and depressurization means for sending the fluid; a pressure detecting means connected to the pipe arrangement to detect a pressure of the cuff; and a blood pressure measurement control means for measuring a blood pressure value from pulse signals. The cuff has a continuously formed light shielding layer 45 for optically shielding a part other than an opening part 46 for the optical detection.
