摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical alkaline storage battery that is superior in utilization rate of nickel hydroxide and life characteristics, by heightening oxidation efficiency of cobalt and by uniformly forming a cathode conduction network, even if the size is enlarged. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the cylindrical alkaline storage battery, having a cathode containing nickel hydroxide and metallic cobalt, and an anode made of hydrogen storing alloy as main component comprises a first process of constituting an electrode group by using the anode, the cathode, and a separator, a second step of forming a battery body by housing the electrode group and electrolyte in a battery case, and a process of initially charging the battery body, while it is being rotated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p>
