<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle peripheral object detector and a system for it capable of accurately detecting a stationary object. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicle peripheral object detector is provided with a radar processing module 10 detecting an object around the vehicle, a position calculation part 12, a vehicle information acquisition part 14 acquiring vehicle information including a vehicle traveling condition, a detection history DB 20 storing detection history information about a detected object in association with the vehicle information, and a stationary object determination part 30. When a new object is detected, the stationary object determination part 30 performs search for presence of an object matching the detected object by using the vehicle information as a search key on the basis of the detection history information and determines the object as the stationary object when presence of the matching object is confirmed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
