PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the visibility of combined characters in a digital camera for converting a voice message into the characters to combine the characters with an object image. SOLUTION: In the digital camera 1, a photographing processing section 12 converts light captured through photographing optical section 11 into an electric signal and an image processing section 13 converts the electric signal into image data of a prescribed form. A voice recognition section 22 recognizes the voice message entered to a voice input section 21 and converts the message into a text. The voice recognition section 22 transmits the message converted into the text to a character output section 23, which forms a character image in a prescribed font and gives the image to the image processing section 13, wherein the image is combined with the object image.
