PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a new technique for controlling a mechanism about a device in connection with an image forming apparatus to which a device is connected and used. SOLUTION: It is the image forming apparatus equipped with a connector for inserting and pulling out an insert and pull out device which can be inserted to and pulled out of a connector. It has a driver control means which starts a device driver corresponding to the inserted and pulled out device concerned, in responding to detection of inserting the above insert and pull out device. The device driver solves the subject by establishing connection with the above application in responding to a connection request from the application using the insert and pull out device.
