PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data input device which is improved in operator's workability and convenience, and reduced in development cost, and a program thereof. SOLUTION: A vehicle registration data input device 1 using text data generated by an OCR 16 as input data for registration entries is provided with; an OCR definition DB 131 which stores a plurality of OCR definition tables in which reading conditions set for every reading target entry described in a vehicle inspection certificate corresponding to the registration entries; an operation part 14b which receives a designation for the vehicle inspection certificate; and a means for acquiring an OCR definition table corresponding to the vehicle inspection certificate designated by the operation part 14b; and a means for generating the text data to be read corresponding to the registration entries in the OCR 16 as input data.
