PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten stability without being affected by noise generation, and to attain miniaturization, in liquid level detection by a nozzle. SOLUTION: In this device, an oscillation circuit is connected electrically to the nozzle having at least a conductive tip part, for collecting a liquid sample in a container, and thereby the liquid level of the liquid sample is detected by a change of an electric signal when the nozzle tip part is brought into contact with the liquid. In the device, the oscillation circuit is constituted of a ceramic oscillator, and a current change in the oscillation circuit when the nozzle is brought into contact with the liquid is detected. Otherwise, a substrate on which a ceramic oscillation circuit by CMOS-IC is mounted is stored inside a holder, and a nozzle tip fixing part is provided on one end of the holder.
