PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid imaging apparatus capable of imaging infrared light without complicating a manufacturing process. SOLUTION: The solid imaging apparatus includes a solid imaging device 1 for imaging by incidence of visible light; and a wavelength conversion element 12 provided on the incident side of the visible light of the solid imaging device 1, having a function for converting infrared light into visible light by generating a stress corresponding to heat energy of the infrared light and by generating the visible light by using the generated stress.
